1. Acceptance of Terms:
Park Slope Doggy Walker agrees to provide pet sitting, dog walking, and other pet care services. The client expressly waives and releases Park Slope Doggy Walker from any and all claims against the company, its owners, employees and representatives, except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Park Slope Doggy Walker.
Client agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Park Slope Doggy Walker in the event of a claim by any person injured or otherwise damaged by Client’s pet(s) or negligent act.
By agreeing to these Terms of Service during the sign-up process the Client acknowledges and accepts all following terms and conditions. Without accepting these terms, client will not have the right to utilize Park Slope Doggy Walker services.
Client understands that Park Slope Doggy Walker may update their Terms of Service at any time for any reason.
2. Service:
Park Slope Doggy Walker offers in-home pet care including but not limited to: drop-in visits, dog walks, overnight care, live-in care, and pet transportation.
Park Slope Doggy Walker shall exercise all precautions against sickness, injury, escape, loss, accidents or death of Client’s pet(s). Park Slope Doggy Walker is not responsible for sickness, injury, escape, loss accidents or death of Client’s pet(s) unless caused through negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Park Slope Doggy Walker.
Park Slope Doggy walker does not offer services to animals with a known bite history or aggressive behaviors. It is the Client's responsibility to inform Park Slope Doggy Walker of any changes in behavior that may be a safety risk.
It is the Client's responsibility to ensure Park Slope Doggy Walker has all necessary instructions and information to successfully complete services. All of Park Slope Doggy Walker’s services are customizable per the Client’s needs, so it is essential that Client provides the company with all necessary details for the service in writing via email.
It is the Client's responsibility to supply all necessary equipment and supplies needed to perform services.
Necessary supplies include but are not limited to: a sturdy, well-fit harness or collar and leash for walks or in case of emergencies, pet food, medications, identification tags, litter boxes, cat litter and cleaning supplies. Client authorizes any purchase if necessary for the satisfactory performance of duties. Costs of all purchases and related service fees will be reimbursed to Park Slope Doggy Walker within 14 days.
Park Slope Doggy Walker will not utilize retractable leashes / flexi-leads, or any aversive techniques including but not limited to e-collars / shock collars.
Client understands and agrees that any and all communication, instructions, scheduling, and payments will be made to Jennifer Hunt at Park Slope Doggy Walker.
In case of emergency such as inclement weather or natural disaster, Client authorizes Park Slope Doggy Walker to use reasonable judgment for the remaining services / responsibilities. Client agrees to have at least two emergency contacts, who are in town and able to help, listed.
3. Payments:
Client understands there will be a $10 holiday premium applied to all any and all services on federal holidays, including but not limited to: New Years Eve and Day (12/31 and 1/1), MLK Jr Day (third Monday in January), Easter, Memorial Day (last Monday in May), Independence Day (7/4), Labor Day (first Monday in September), Veterans Day (11/11), Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November), Christmas Eve and Day (12/24 and 12/25)
4. Medical:
It is Client’s responsibility to ensure all pets are up to date on all necessary vaccinations
according to local, state, and federal regulations, including but not limited to Rabies, Distemper, and Parvovirus. Park Slope Doggy Walker will not offer services to pets that are not current on all required vaccinations.
Park Slope Doggy Walker will make every effort to contact the Client if an emergency arises. If time is of the essence, Client authorizes Park Slope Doggy Walker to seek necessary medical attention.
Park Slope Doggy Walker agrees to attempt to seek medical attention at the Veterinarian listed on Client’s paperwork first, but if that is not possible, Client authorizes Park Slope Doggy Walker to visit a clinic of their choosing.
Client agrees to assume full responsibility for payment and reimbursement for any and all medical services rendered.
If Client has a monetary limit to medical expenses, Client must let Park Slope Doggy Walker know in writing. If no limit is indicated, Park Slope Doggy Walker will proceed with any medical attention deemed necessary by attending Veterinarian.
In the event of a cardiac or respiratory medical emergency, if Client has specific wishes for their pet to not be resuscitated, this must be noted. If no specific wishes are in writing, Park Slope Doggy Walker will authorize attending Veterinarian to perform any and all necessary life saving measures
Client understands that Park Slope Doggy Walker assumes no responsibility for the loss or injury of any pet(s) and is released from all liability related to transportation, treatment and expenses. If the pet sitter / dog walker has a medical emergency themselves, ark Slope Doggy Walker agrees to contact Client and make the necessary arrangements to fulfill responsibilities
5. Property:
Agreement of these terms gives Park Slope Doggy Walker and representatives authorization to enter the clients address to perform services agreed upon.
Client agrees to properly secure the home prior to leaving the premises. Park Slope Doggy Walker will re-secure the home to the best of its ability at the end of each visit.
If any property is damaged during attendance, Park Slope Doggy Walker will make every effort to notify client.
If Client cannot be reached and immediate action is necessary, Client authorizes Park Slope Doggy Walker to make any repairs necessary. Client accepts responsibility for any and all expenses.
Client is to inform Park Slope Doggy Walker of anyone with access to property and any expected visitors while Park Slope Doggy Walker is in attendance.
Client agrees to inform Park Slope Doggy Walker of any security/surveillance systems inside or outside of the home.
In no event will Park Slope Doggy Walker be liable to Client for any damages, unless willful misconduct is proven
Client agrees to notify Park Slope Doggy Walker of any concerns within 24 hours of completion of services
The Terms of this document apply to all pets owned by the client, including any and all new pets that the customer obtains on or after the date this document was signed.
Park Slope Doggy Walker reserves the right to refuse services and terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason.
This Agreement shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the state in which the service is performed
